Vision

Our vision for the Joseph C. Howard, III Scholastic/Artistic Award is to encourage young Christian scholars and artists to pursue a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ through their gifts and talents.

Starting March 1, 2025

Applications for the 2025 – 2026 School year will be available by email request beginning March 1, 2025 through July 31, 2025 (Postmarked).

Notification of winners by August 9, 2025.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Joseph C. Howard, III Scholastic/Artistic Award fund, a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, is to contribute to the spiritual development of young scholars and artists by providing opportunities, through monetary awards, for these gifted individuals to receive a quality education in a Christian school.

 

We believe that a Biblical-based curriculum reinforces godly character in our children, thereby equipping them to boldly resist the negative social influences currently plaguing our society.

 

We further believe that a Christian learning environment encourages our children to use their intellectual gifts and creative talents to make positive changes in our world.

Statement of Purpose

Scholastic Award

To organize and facilitate a program through which 1st through 6th graders, may earn financial awards to be used toward tuition at a private Christian school under (ACSI) Association of Christian Schools International.

Artistic Award

To organize and facilitate a program through which 1st through 6th graders, with artistic interest and skills may earn financial awards to be used toward tuition at an accredited Christian art school under (ACSI) Association of Christian Schools International.

Joseph, affectionately known as “Jo-Jo,” was a very humble Christian youth with an unquenchable passion for the medium of visual arts, particularly sketching.
